What is readers' advisory? It is a one-on-one, personalized service in which she connects the student with material tailored to their skill level and interests, and, more importantly, to help them read at and beyond grade level.
What does advising and mentoring look like? A unique service where she works with the family and the student to identify what the best fits are for the student, through grade school into high school, and beyond. Matching interests with talents, abilities, and in the process discovering who and what they dream of for their future.

About our indie book store and Leti & Christopher
WE love books, we love to collect, hold, and read books, and though Leti always dreamed of owning and operating a bookstore, she never thought it was possible. Then one day, her husband, Rich, suggested we take over the front space of the shop and open a bookstore. Though he never declared that we had too many unshelved mountains of books at home... we think it was his way of acknowledging that we needed to relocate some of our collections. The timing wasn't perfect, as Leti and Christopher were (and still are) enrolled in college programs, and they each had their own interests and paths, but they are making it work. They celebrated their first anniversary in November 2025 and are enjoying every day of their schedule.
Leti is enrolled in an online dual Master's program for an MLIS and an MBA and is an active Global Real Estate Advisor affiliated with an incredible organization, Engel & Völkers Napa (hence the real estate links above). She enjoys helping friends and family and appreciates their kind referrals, and enjoys sharing a few hours a week at a local library when she isn't at the shop. She is living her dream, which is to advise in her areas of interest: literacy, literature, and real estate investments. She invites you to reach out to her with questions.
Christopher is finishing his Bachelor of Science in Business this Spring and will enroll in an MBA program afterward. He holds an active role at TEM Performance Machine Shop and at Books & Blocks. Christopher is enjoying his young adult life, working on his cars and individual creative projects, after spending his youth advocating for and effecting change in the student health sector at the local and state levels. Having founded his first Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at age 10, he created four long-lasting grassroots community projects. These projects ranged from health advocacy and free books for those in need to, more recently, creating and leading a competitive community-FRC robotics team that was truly life-changing for so many students. He has consulted, continues to consult, and creates and repairs in robotics and other engineering fields.
We hope that by sharing about us, you can see that, although we love the bookstore, we have multiple interests and enjoy doing the things that bring us joy. See you soon - Leti & Christopher
